Theme Based 8 Week Session
This eight week session consists of one class per week, each class lasting 1.5 hours. This can be modified if there is a demand for two classes per week.
My classes are designed to fuse yoga postures, natural childbirth preparation, and yoga philosophy with a changing theme each week. Some example topics include Opening the Heart, Surrender, Balance and Trust, etc. I have put together specific postures that help to assimilate these qualities into our bodies. We will practice breathing techniques and vocal toning exercises that will help to manage labor when the time comes. Meditation and chakra work will open our minds and hearts to our body’s wisdom, hence preparing women for labor, childbirth and ultimately becoming a mother.
This is a great opportunity for pregnant women to network with each other in a healthy environment where they can support and encourage each other during this transformative time in their lives.
Another fun option is to open the class up to fathers twice during the session. So, two out of the eight classes can be couples prenatal yoga class. This gives expectant dads the opportunity to practice yoga with their pregnant wife, practice childbirth techniques together and deeply bond with baby through meditation.
Students are given a handout each week with more information about the class theme, including suggestions for home practice and affirmations.
Prenatal Chakra Yoga 8 Week Session
During pregnancy, a woman’s body becomes a conduit for the divine feminine. As she is creating life she is also birthing forth more creativity, compassion and forgiveness into the world. Pregnancy is a time of powerful change in a woman’s life, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. The heightened energetic state a pregnant woman experiences can facilitate a state of profound spiritual awakening. The ability to create life is a gift from the divine and when we open ourselves to our greatest spiritual potential we are able to heal, purify and empower ourselves, our baby and the world.
This course is designed to facilitate women on their spiritual journey into motherhood. We will deeply explore our divine creative potential so that we can live more fully and authentically, creating a beautiful life for ourselves and our baby. The theme for each class session is based on one of the seven chakras, energy centers in our body. We will discuss how that chakra pertains to pregnancy, childbirth and our own personal growth. Then we will practice meditations and yoga postures that help to activate this chakra and further assimilate it’s qualities into our body. Practicing these postures will also help women feel comfortable in their bodies, strong and flexible, and will also help to alleviate many of the common discomforts of pregnancy, such as back pain. The postures are done in alignment with the breath so that women become very calm and confident in preparation for childbirth.
During this class we will also explore vocalizing techniques that will help women learn how to work through the pains of labor. Each class ends with a deeply relaxing pose and a final meditation. The final meditation includes time to connect and communicate with the baby.

This eight week course prepares both the mother and father for the spiritual journey into parenthood. Childbirth is a sacred rite of passage that is life altering for both parents. By practicing tantric meditation, partner yoga and childbirth preparation exercises you and your partner will grow along with your baby! Taking this time once a week will create a special bond and provide a solid foundation from which to begin parenting. Couples Prenatal Yoga is a fun way for all three of you to truly enjoy this magical time.

Prenatal yoga class is a time to consciously honor the divine act of creating life as well as prepare our mind, body and spirit for a conscious and natural childbirth. This three hour workshop will include important natural childbirth preparation techniques, yoga postures, breath work and meditation. The students will come away feeling stronger, more refreshed, centered and deeply bonded with their unborn child.

Couples Prenatal Yoga Workshop
This three hour workshop is designed for the pregnant mother and expectant father. Expectant parents will enjoy practicing postures together, meditation and synchronized breathing. The practice includes helpful childbirth preparation techniques that will enable the expectant fathers to understand and honor the woman's needs when the time comes to give birth. Couples Prenatal Yoga is a fun way for all three to bond and truly enjoy this magical time.
Prenatal Yoga Class
Prenatal Yoga is a safe and nurturing activity that helps pregnant women to gain strength and flexibility, prepare for labor and childbirth, and connect with their unborn child.
Each class begins with a short discussion on a theme that pertains to pregnancy and childbirth. An example topic would be “Opening the Heart”. This theme is then reinforced throughout the duration of the class verbally, as well as by practicing appropriate postures. Class begins with a simple meditation, focusing on the breath and becoming grounded and centered. Cultivating deep and healthy breathing as well as conscious relaxation is an essential aspect of yoga and can be a very beneficial tool for women as they are laboring.
Then we move into a sequence of gentle postures that are designed for the pregnant woman. Practicing these postures will help women feel comfortable in their bodies, strong and flexible, and will also help to alleviate many of the common discomforts of pregnancy, such as back pain. The postures are done in alignment with the breath so that women become very calm and confident in preparation for childbirth.

Throughout the duration of each class, it is my goal to encourage each woman to deeply explore their body’s wisdom. I hope to help them build confidence and trust in their body’s ability to give birth. Yoga, breath work and meditation will help them discover that they have the tools they need to have a healthy and beautiful birth experience.
Prenatal yoga is also about accessing the divine feminine within and opening up to profound growth and change in a woman’s life. In this class the spiritual journey of woman into mother is honored and deep exploration of the self is encouraged. By practicing yoga during pregnancy we cultivate self-awareness that enables us to birth forth more love and beauty into the world with our baby.
