About Shelley's Birthing From Within® Childbirth Classes
The Birthing From Within® method of childbirth preparation is a creative, nurturing and personal way of preparing for birth as a profound rite of passage. Birthing From Within® classes go beyond what other childbirth classes offer. In addition to learning lots of practical information, you will deepen your intuitive knowing through thought-provoking dialogues, interesting birth videos, and memorable exercises. Two kinds of knowing are cultivated in order to birth from within. The first and most basic is the primal and intuitive knowing in your bones. The second kind of knowing is modern knowing—being savvy about the birth culture and the wide range of birth choices. Birthing From Within® classes offer you a soulful and holistic approach to birth preparation that integrates both kinds of knowing. You and your partner will learn about coping with pain and the challenges of labor, and have lots of time to practice together. Shelley's classes prepare you to birth-in-awareness and love whether you are birthing at home, in a birth center or hospital."The essence of childbirth preparation is self-discovery, not assimilating obstetric information."
